PEKANBARU - The electability of the candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of Riau Number 1, Abdul Wahid-SF Hariyanto is superior to the other two candidate pairs, namely Syamsuar-Mawardi Saleh (Suwai) and M Nasir-M Wardan (Nawaitu).

This is based on the findings of the most recent Denny JA Indonesian Survey Circle poll, which was conducted on three pairs of candidates for governor and deputy governor of Riau from October 5, 2024, to October 12, 2029.

From the results of the LSI survey, the electability of the Riau Bermawah Governor and Deputy Governor candidate pairs reached 35.2 percent or 13 percent ahead of the Suwai candidate pair at 22.2 percent. Meanwhile, the electability of the Nawaitu candidate pair is estimated at 13 percent or lagging behind the Bermawah candidate pair at 22.2 percent.

This was stated by SIGI LSI Denny JA, Ardian Sopa, Director, on Thursday, October 17, 2024, in Pekanbaru, when he presented the findings of the concurrent regional head voter survey in Riau Province.

“The candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of Riau Abdul Wahid-SF Hariyanto has a stronger electability than other candidate pairs, according to the most recent poll data. Due to the fact that Abdul Wahid and SF Hariyanto's electability together reached 35.2%,” said Ardian.

He said that if you look at the differences, there is a 13 percent difference between the Bermawah Candidate Candidates and the Suwai Candidate Candidates. Then the difference between the Bermawah candidate pair and Nawaitu was 22.2 percent, and there were still 27.9 percent of the remaining votes.

“At the governor's election level, a 13 percent margin is a significant difference. Furthermore, a 22.2 percent discrepancy lags far behind. This implies that, in the event of a vote today, we would already be aware of the Governor of Riau,” he said.

Ardian then went on to discuss the reasons why Candidate Candidate for Governor and Deputy Governor of Riau Number 1 was more electable than the other candidate pairs. First, among the candidates running for governor of Riau, Abdul Wahid was the most preferred option.

"We see that Abdul Wahid is at 34 percent, Syamsuar is at 22.8 percent, and M Nasir is at 10.8 percent. So the map of the pair and the map of each candidate for Governor of Riau also show the same thing," he said.

Ardian went on to say that the second reason was that, in addition to Abdul Wahid being the most popular option, SF Hariyanto was also the most popular choice among the other contenders for the position of Deputy Governor of Riau.

“Accordingly, Mr. SF Hariyanto received 29.8%, Mr. Mawardi Saleh received 17.3%, and Mr. M Wardan received 15.3%. Then, he remained undecided about 37.6%,” he explained.

“Therefore, the reason Abdul Wahid-SF Hariyanto is better is because both candidates for governor and deputy governor of Riau, Abdul Wahid and SF Hariyanto, are better in their respective categories,” he added.
