Political Survey & Consulting in Indonesia: Abdul Wahid-SF Haryanto's Higher Electability in Kampar
JAKARTA - The findings of a survey given to prospective governor and deputy governor of
Riau in the Kampar Regency region were made public by Indonesia Political Survey & Consulting, also known as Indopol Survey.
From the results of this institution's survey, if the Riau Regional Head Election in Kampar
Regency was carried out when the survey was carried out, the results were that Abdul Wahid-
SF Haryanto was leading with 26.2%, followed by Syamsuar - Mawardi Saleh with 23.5%,
and Muhammad Nasir - HM Wardan with 23.5%. 18.3%.
"The fact that 32.0% of voters are still uncertain indicates that the political climate is still volatile. This would alter all candidate pairs' electability as governor and deputy governor of Riau,” according to a press statement issued on Thursday, 26/9/2024 by Ratno Sulistiyanto, Executive Director of Indopol Survey.
According to Ratno, the still dynamic electoral map in the Riau Regional Head Election is also influenced by the number of swing voters or voters who can still produce attitudes which are quite large, namely 75.5%.
"The changing factor for swing voters is because the vision and mission of other gubernatorial candidates are better, apart from that, the people of Kampar think there is still quite a long time to make a choice in the regional head election," he said.
The survey's findings also indicate that Rumbio Jaya District, Bangkinang Kota, Bangkinang, East Kampar, has a support base for the Abdul Wahid-SF Haryanto pair with electability over 50%.
Meanwhile, Saymasuar-Mawardi Saleh's support base is generally in IIX Koto Kampar,
Kampar Kiri Hilir, Siak Hulu and Gunung Sahilan sub-districts.
Then, for the Muhammad Nasir-Wardan pair, their support base is in the Districts of Tapung
Hulu, North Kampar, Kampar Kiri Tengah and Kampar Kiri.
"Meanwhile, many of those who have not yet made a choice are in the sub-districts of Koto
Kampar Hulu, Kuok, Perhentian Raja, Salo, Tapung Hilir, Gunung Sahilan and Kampar," he
said.
On September 5–9, 2024, in Kampar, 600 respondents participated in in-person interviews for the Indopol Survey, which was performed in advance of the Riau Governor Election.
The survey was carried out using a multistage random sampling method and quality control was carried out in layers, so that there were no significant errors in sampling. The margin of error is approximately 4.0% with a confidence level of 95%, as reported by jpnn.(*)
