PEKANBARU - Building B9 in the Pekanbaru City Government Office Complex, Tenayan
Raya District caught fire, Friday (20/9/2024).
Thick black smoke is seen rising from the fire that is destroying the building's top in the
widely circulated footage.

A number of workers were also seen fleeing the five-story structure, which housed many
Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), including the Pekanbaru Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (PUPR), Housing and Settlement Areas (Perkim), and the Department of Transportation.

There had been no formal declaration from the pertinent parties detailing the cause or damages arising from the fire occurrence until this report was published.
