PEKANBARU – The unwilling and occasionally indifferent attitude of the management of the Eco Green Limited Warehouse and Industrial Area during the second hearing summons enraged Commission IV of the Pekanbaru Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD).

This call is a follow-up to the field visit by Commission IV of the Pekanbaru Regional People's Representative Council on January 6, 2025. Several abnormalities were discovered during the building of the industrial sector.

However, rather than demonstrating good faith, Eco Green frequently refused to appear and evaded formal call from Commission IV of the Pekanbaru City Regional People's Representative Council.

In a letter to the Pekanbaru Regional People's Representative Council dated February 7, 2025, Eco Green asked that the meeting scheduled for February 10, 2025, be postponed since their commissioner was out of town for Chinese New Year celebrations.

The Pekanbaru Regional People's Representative Council also accommodated this request by rescheduling the summons on February 17. However, Eco Green was again absent.

Roni Amriel, Secretary of Commission IV Pekanbaru DPRD, expressed disappointment with Eco Green's approach, which was deemed ineffective in resolving many current issues.

“We have sent the first letter, they asked to reschedule. Now we invite them again, but they still don't come. This is too much,” said Roni, Tuesday (18/2/2025).

Commission IV of the Pekanbaru Regional People's Representative Council took aggressive action by releasing a third invitation.

If Eco Green is again absent next Monday, Commission IV of the Pekanbaru Regional People's Representative Council will use their authority to force calls.

“Today, we sent our third summons letter. If they don't show up next Monday, we'll summon them with force! There is no longer any need to avoid them,” said Roni, who also serves as the Chair of the Golkar Fraction.
