Most of The 20 Riau Hotspots Found This Afternoon Were in Kuansing

PEKANBARU - In the afternoon of Tuesday, October 29, 2024, hot spots on Sumatra Island are still dropping. There are now 20 points remaining, including Riau Province, which had 36 points at first.
There are 198 hot spots in Sumatra, with the most spread being 78 in South Sumatra. Then Lampung 29 points, Bangka Belitung 29 points, Bengkulu 11 points, Jambi 15 points, West Sumatra 15 points, and Riau Islands one point.
“For Riau, 20 hot spots were detected, most of which were in Kuantan Singingi Regency with 14 spots. Then Kampar had two spots, Pelalawan had three spots, and Indragiri Hilir had one spot,” Pekanbaru Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, Deby's Sanya Gautami Prakirawan said as much on Tuesday (October 29, 2024) afternoon.
For your information, a forest and land fire emergency alert status has been issued by the provincial government of Riau. This alert status will remain in effect until the end of November 2024, as per the Decree number: Kpts.293/III/2024, which was signed by the Acting Governor of Riau SF Hariyanto.
In order to deal with the 2024 Riau Forest and Land Fires, the National Disaster Management Agency has sent patrols and water bombing helicopters. Weather modification technology, often referred to as artificial rain, is still being used in areas where hotspots or flames have been identified.
