PEKANBARU – After an 8-hour search of the PUPR Riau Office, the Corruption Eradication Commission has identified a suspect. The search was discovered to be connected to suspected criminal acts of corruption during the building of the Tuanku Tambusai-Soekarno Hatta or SKA junction flyover in the 2018 fiscal year.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has identified five persons as suspects in this investigation. The anti-corruption agency chosen five suspects in connection with the suspected corruption case at Riau's Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office.

Asep Guntur Rahayu, Director of Investigation for the Corruption Eradication Commission, released this information at an exposition at the Red and White Building, Corruption Eradication Commission Office, Kuningan, Jakarta, on Tuesday (January 21, 2025). Asep was joined by Tessa Mahardika, the Corruption Eradication Commission's spokesman.

“Also today, it was announced about the alleged criminal act of corruption in the construction of the Flyover in Pekanbaru, according to the investigation order, dated January 10 2025, or eleven days,” said the Corruption Eradication Commission spokesperson, starting the exposure, quoted from the Corruption Eradication Commission's official YouTube channel, Tuesday afternoon (21/1/2025) quoted from riaupos.co.

Investigating criminal acts of corruption on the SKA Flyover project, added that the Corruption Eradication Commission's Director of Investigation, Asep Guntur, had named 4 suspects.

“The suspect YN was the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) when the project was built in 2018, then from the private sector there were TC, President Director of PT SHJ, ES Director of PT SC, and NR as head of PT YK, and GR,” said Asep Guntur.

Regarding the alleged Corruption Crime for the Construction of the SKA Pekanbaru Flyover within the Riau Provincial Government for the 2018 Fiscal Year, as intended in the Corruption Crime Law Article 1 Paragraph 1 Juncto Article 3 Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2021 concerning amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning eradicating corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
