PEKANBARU - Riau Provincial Plantation Office has released the latest price for plasma partnership palm oil fresh fruit bunches (FFB) for the period of July 23–29, 2025.

The updated data shows a significant increase in prices, especially for certain tree age groups, bringing good news for farmers.

Defris Hatmaja, Head of Processing and Marketing at the Riau Plantation Office, said the highest price increase occurred in 9-year-old palm trees, rising by IDR 101.47 per kilogram, or 3.00% compared to the previous period.

“As a result, the new purchase price for farmers' fresh fruit bunches is IDR 3,487.22 per kilogram, with the price of palm shells set at IDR 18.01 per kilogram,” said Defris on Tuesday (July 22, 2025).

For this period, the K index used in the price calculation is 92.18% for the next month. The price increase was also driven by rising selling prices of CPO (crude palm oil) and palm kernel.

This week, CPO prices rose by IDR 331.46 and palm kernel prices increased by IDR 828.00 compared to the previous week.

Defris explained that for palm oil mills that didn’t make any sales, the prices used refer to the team’s average, as stated in Article 8 of Minister of Agriculture Regulation No. 01 of 2018.

If they fall under “validation 2,” then the KPBN (Commodity Futures Exchange of Indonesia) average price is used. “The KPBN average price for CPO this period is IDR 14,352.00, and for kernel it is IDR 11,305.00,” he added.

This week’s price increase is mainly due to higher CPO and kernel prices on the market.

The improved pricing system reflects the serious commitment of all stakeholders, fully supported by the Riau Provincial Government and the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office.

“This shared commitment will ultimately increase farmers’ income, which will lead to greater community welfare,” Defris concluded.
