PEKANBARU - The Plantation Office of Riau Province has released the price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) of oil palm for plasma partnership schemes for the period of June 25 to July 1, 2025.The FFB price experienced a slight decline, with the highest price recorded for 9-year-old palm trees.

The Head of Processing and Marketing Division at the Riau Plantation Office, Defris Hatmaja, explained that the biggest price drop occurred for the 9-year-old group, which fell by Rp8.86 per kilogram or 0.27 percent from the previous period.

"As a result, the purchase price of FFB for farmers dropped to Rp3,269.95 per kilogram, with shell prices at Rp18.50 per kilogram,” said Defris Hatmaja on Tuesday (June 24, 2025).

This period, the K index used is for the next month, which is 92.31 percent. The selling price of crude palm oil (CPO) this week increased by Rp254.58, while the kernel price dropped by Rp1,310.54 compared to last week.

"Some palm oil mills did not make any sales. Based on the Minister of Agriculture Regulation No. 01 of 2018, Article 8, the CPO and kernel prices used are the average team price. If they fall under validation two, then the average price from the Joint Marketing Office (KPBN) is applied,” he explained.

The average CPO price from the Joint Marketing Office this period is Rp13,629.40, and the kernel price is Rp9,800.50.

According to the Riau Plantation Office, this week’s price drop was mainly due to the decrease in kernel prices.

The improvement in price determination management is part of a serious effort by all stakeholders, supported by the Riau Provincial Government and the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office.

“This shared commitment will ultimately lead to increased income for farmers, contributing to the overall welfare of the community,” added Dr. Defris.
