PEKANBARU – Riau Province Plantation Service has announced the price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) for plasma partnership palm oil in Riau for the period March 12-18, 2025.

Dr. Defris Hatmaja, Head of the Riau Plantation Service's Processing and Marketing Division, said that the highest price drop was in the 9-year-old age group, totaling IDR 23.91/Kg or 0.64% of the previous period's price.

“So the purchase price for farmers' fresh fruit bunches for the next one week period will fall to IDR 3,689.73/Kg with a shell price of IDR 18.70/Kg,” said Dr Defris Hatmaja on Wednesday (12/3/2025).

In this period, the K index used is the K index for the next 1 month, namely 92.89%, the selling price of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) this week fell by Rp269.16 and kernel this week increased by Rp677.81 from last week.

There are various palm oil mills that do not sell. According to Minister of Agriculture Regulation number 01 of 2018 article 8, the CPO and kernel prices used are the team's average pricing; if subject to validation 2, the KPBN average price is applied.

“The average price of KPBN CPO for this period is IDR 14,902.00 and the KPBN kernel price for this period is still using the price for last week's period of IDR 11,672.90,” he said.

This week's price drop was mostly due to a drop in CPO prices. Improving price governance requires a concerted effort by all stakeholders, backed by the Riau Provincial Government and the Riau High Prosecutor's Office.

“This joint commitment will ultimately have an impact on increasing farmers' income which will lead to community welfare,” he concluded.
