PEKANBARU – Riau Province Plantation Service released the price of fresh fruit bunches (TBS) for plasma partnership palm oil in Riau from March 5 to 11, 2025.

Dr Defris Hatmaja, Head of Processing and Marketing for the Riau Plantation Service, said that the biggest price rise occurred in the 9-year-old age group, totaling IDR 30.31/Kg or 0.82% of the previous period's pricing.

“So the purchase price for farmers' fresh fruit bunches for the next one week period will increase to IDR 3,713.64/Kg with a shell price of IDR 18.70/Kg,” said Defris Hatmaja on Wednesday (5/3/2025).

In this time, the K index utilized is the K index for the next one month, which is 92.89%. The selling price of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) this week climbed by Rp139,21, and this week's kernel increased by Rp30,45 from the previous week.

There are several palm oil mills that do not make sales, based on Minister of Agriculture Regulation number 01 of 2018 article 8, the CPO and kernel prices used are the team's average prices, if subject to validation 2 then the KPBN average price is used.

“The average price of KPBN CPO for this period is IDR 15,234.33 and the KPBN kernel price for this period is still using the price for last week's period of IDR 11,400.00,” he said.

This week's price rise was mostly due to higher CPO and kernel costs. Improving price governance requires a concerted effort by all stakeholders, backed by the Riau Provincial Government and the Riau High Prosecutor's Office.

“This joint commitment will ultimately have an impact on increasing farmers' income which will lead to community welfare,” he said.
