PEKANBARU - The price of plasma partnership fresh fruit bunches in Riau Province has increased significantly.

Riau Province Plantation Service has released the price of fresh fruit bunches for the period 12-18 February 2025, with the highest price reaching IDR 3,492.07 per kilogram.

"So the purchase price for farmers' fresh fruit bunches for the next one week period will increase to IDR 3,492.07/Kg, with the shell price being IDR 22.55/Kg," stated Defris Hatmaja, Head of Processing and Marketing at the Riau Plantation Service.

According to him, the K index utilised during this time is the K index for the following month, which is 93.22%. This week's selling price of crude palm oil increased by IDR 442.20, while this week's kernel saw a decrease of IDR 124.18 from the previous week.

"There are several palm oil factories that do not make sales. Based on Minister of Agriculture Regulation number 01 of 2018 article 8, the price of crude palm oil and kernels used is the team's average price. If subject to validation 2, the average KPBN price is used," he said.

The average price of KPBN Crude Palm Oil for this period is IDR 14,204.60 and the KPBN kernel price for this period is IDR 11,010.00.

"This week's price increase is more due to the increase in Crude Palm Oil prices. Improving price setting governance is a serious effort from all stakeholders supported by the Riau Provincial Government and the Riau High Prosecutor's Office," he said.

This joint commitment, continued Defris, will ultimately have an impact on increasing farmers' income which will lead to community welfare.
