PEKANBARU – Riau Province Plantation Service released the latest prices for independent partnership oil palm fresh fruit bunches for the period 5 - 11 February 2025.

According to the reported statistics, the largest price fall happened in the 9-year-old age group, totaling IDR 59.59/Kg, a 1.72% decrease from the previous quarter.

“So the purchase price for farmers' fresh fruit bunches has dropped to IDR 3,405.88/kg with a shell price of IDR 22.55/kg,” said Defris Hatmaja, Head of the Riau Disbun's Processing and Marketing Division, on Tuesday (4/2/2025).

In this time, the K index utilized is the K index for the next month, which is 93.22%. The selling price of crude palm oil this week declined by IDR 291.43 and kernel this week ascended by IDR 22.89 from the previous week.

“There are several palm oil factories that do not sell, based on Minister of Agriculture Regulation number 01 of 2018 article 8, the price of crude palm oil and kernels used is the team's average price, if subject to validation 2 then the average price of PT Kharisma Marketing Bersama Nusantara is used ,” he said.

The average price of KPBN crude palm oil for this period is IDR 13,819.50 and the price of KPBN kernel for this period is IDR 11,021.00.

“The decline in prices this week was mainly due to the decline in prices for crude palm oil and kernels. Improving price setting governance is a serious effort from all stakeholders supported by the Riau Provincial Government and the Riau High Prosecutor's Office,” he said.
